

Dr. Ballard is originally from Northern California. He spent 3 years out of high school as a medic in the army and is a veteran of the 1st Gulf War. He attended college at the University of Utah majoring in physical therapy. After working 6 years as a physical therapist, he attended the University of Utah School of Medicine and graduated in 2007. He completed general surgery internship and residency followed by vascular surgery fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University in 2013. Dr. Ballard is board certified in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. He practiced vascular surgery at Intermountain Health Care in Provo, Utah from 2013 to 2020 before joining his friend from surgical training Dr. Jundt at Oregon Vascular Specialists in June. Dr. Ballard is excited by the opportunities to provide care to people of Central and Eastern Oregon. Dr. Ballard and his family have spent many vacations in the past in Central Oregon and love all that Central Oregon has to offer. Dr. Ballard enjoys spending time with his family, mountain and gravel biking and skiing.
