

Dr. Jundt was raised in Central Texas. He attended Temple High School in Temple, Texas and then college at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas double majoring in Biology and Spanish. As part of his Spanish major Dr. Jundt translated for medical teams in Central America and completed an Internship at the National Paraplegic Hospital in Toledo, Spain. Following undergraduate education, he attended medical school at the University of Texas Health and Science Center Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Jundt then completed residency and fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon obtaining board certification in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery and receiving awards for Leadership and Education from the faculty. Dr. Jundt is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons serving as the Central Oregon Counselor and Program Chair for the Oregon Chapter.
In 2014, Dr. Jundt was recruited to Central Oregon by Dr. Nelson to help establish a Vascular Surgery program that would provide the same quality of care, access to care, and advanced techniques as any large city. Their hard work and dedication culminated in the development Oregon Vascular Specialists in 2017 with rapid expansion of their practice to treat patients where they live constructing offices in Bend, Redmond and Klamath Falls. Our dedication to timely access and quality cost-effective care continued with addition of experienced surgeons Dr. Paul Long and Dr. James Ballard in 2020. Dr. Jundt practices the full spectrum of vascular surgery with expertise in traditional open surgery and cutting-edge endovascular techniques. He serves at the Director of the St. Charles Wound and Ostomy Center and is member of the Deschutes County Public Health Advisory Board. When not practicing Vascular Surgery, you can find him snowboarding, running, or raising cattle near the Cline Buttes with his family
