Matthew Berryman is originally from Delaware. Moving to Bend, OR in the early 2000s, he spent the first 8 years of his career in banking and finance before deciding to join the nursing profession to help people. Post nursing school, it quickly became apparent that Matthew was destined for the wound care specialty. Matthew completed his wound care training at Emory University and is a Certified Wound Care Nurse through the WOCNCB. Practicing for over 6 years Matthew decided that there was a gap in patient care that he needed to fill. Returning to school, Matthew completed his Master’s in Nursing with honors from Frontier Nursing University. He is now a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on wound care. Matthew has about 10 years of experience working to heal wounds. Matthew spent much of his career working inside of a hospital system taking care of acute care patients before joining Oregon Vascular Specialists in 2022 to complete his dream of establishing a wound care clinic with a provider for the patients of Central Oregon. With a provider run clinic, there is a wider range of services and procedures that can be performed to optimize wound healing. Matthew has been part of the Central Oregon community for 18 years and looks forward to serving this special population for years to come.
When not working, Matthew likes to camp, hike, golf, snowboard and spend time with his dog, Calvin.
